Just after 11:30 on January 27th, 2018 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority & Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue responded to a aircraft emergency at 4824 Earhart Road (Northern Colorado Regional Airport) in Loveland. Dispatched reporting that a plane hit a helicopter on the runway, 328 arrived to the plane south of the runway. Aircraft Rescue 41 arrived to a helicopter down with heavy damage with no fire and checking on the patient. Chief 3 arrived and assumed command, advising the plane was located south end of the runway, and one patient from the helicopter needed medical with minor injuries. Thompson Valley EMS Paramedic 351 arrived and transported the patient to a local hospital. Aircraft Rescue 42 arrived, request runway 33 to be closed and the pilot of the aircraft did not need to be transported. Poudre Fire Engine 14 was also dispatched out but cleared before arriving. FAA and NTSB are investigating the collision.
