Lone Tree Plane Crash

At 07:35 on October 26th, 2018 South Metro Fire Rescue and Littleton Fire Rescue were dispatched to an Air Alert 3 Aircraft Crash at 9800 Meridian Blvd.  Witnesses on the 3rd floor the building watched a small plane go down in the field just south of Lincoln Avenue and Havana Street.  First arriving PIO30 reported the plane down with no signs of fire and all occupants out.  District Chief 3 assumed command and Red 3 staged at the 12 o’clock position while the crew secured the aircraft.  Medic 44 evaluated the pilot and passenger who were not injured and did not need medical attention.  All other units were canceled, Lone Tree Police Department and representatives from Centennial Airport were on scene and contacted NTSB who will investigate the cause of the accident.
