Matthew Scheel Memorial

Matthew Scheel was honored on September 25th, 2018 at The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park. Matthew passed away on September 19th, 2018 from a cerebral aneurysm in Conifer. Matt was born April 4, 1968 in Grand Junction, graduated in 1987 from Evergreen High School and earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design – School of Architecture and Planning degree from the University of Colorado-CU in Boulder in 1993. Matt founded his own design build services firm called Architrades in 1995 to 2009, and BMS Architects and Engineers in 2010.

Matt worked with the Elk Creek Fire Protection District since 2003 and North Fork Volunteer Fire Department since 2016, and serving with St. Anthony Hospital at Bandimere Speedway and the National Western Stock Shows events.

Matthew is survived by his parents Vernon and Joyce Scheel, sister Melissa Scheel Quinlan, brother-in-law Michael Quinlan, sister Alyssa Scheel, Robert Zander, niece, Brittany Morrison, Brandon Morrison, nephew Ian Quinlan, great-nephew Brody Morrison, and loving friend Tracey Whaley.
