At 16:47 on July 22nd, 2018 East MetCom toned out the I-70 Corridor Fire: Strasburg Fire Protection District, Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue, Sable Altura Fire Rescue, Byers Fire Protection District and Deer Trail Rural Fire Protection District with Buckley Air Force Base Fire and Emergency Services to responded to a structure fire at Wagner St. & Westview St. in Strasburg. Quint 81 arrived to a working house fire with smoke showing from the south basement window, stretched a 1 3/4 line in for quick attack. Quint 91 arrived and assigned as the RIT team, crews started search with heavy fire on the Alpha side window. Crews got the fire out with-in an hour of the call, crews started an extended overhaul with no reported injuries and the fire is under investigation.
