Wheat Ridge Applejack Fire

At 13:44 on November 24th, 2018 JeffCom alerted West Metro Fire Rescue to a possible commercial structure fire with heavy smoke in the building at 3320 Youngfield St. at Applejack in Wheat Ridge. Engine 17 arrived to a large one story commercial building with light smoke inside the structure with evacuating. Engine 5 set-up at the hydrant on the east side of the building in the parking lot, and assisted Engine 17. Tower 2 arrived and assigned to the back of the building in the alley way, to access the roof and check the HVAC unit. Engine 16 set-up on the hydrant on the west side of the building, and assisted Engine 5 with ventilation at the front door. Tower 2 advised roof report that smoke was coming from the roof top unit with no active fire. Crews checked the inside ceiling, and found no fire conditions and put the call under control at 13:59, and Command started to released units
