Adams County Commercial Fire

At 23:19 on January 12th, 2019 Adcom alerted Adams County Fire Rescue to a working commercial structure fire at Tavos Auto Glass 6630 Federal Blvd. and advised units that 911 caller reporting flames showing, and Adams County Sheriff on scene reporting smoke and fire showing. Truck 12 arrived to a small one story strip mall with smoke showing from the roof and eves, pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire control in the offensive strategy on the Alpha side. Engine 12 assisted with the water supply, and Adams County Sheriff closed down southbound Federal Blvd. for fire operations. Westminster Fire Department Engine 1 with Medic 1 assisted Truck 12 with forcible entry in the alley for fire control. Battalion 11 arrived on scene and assumed command on the Alpha-Bravo corner, and requested 2 additional engines and strike a major incident tone. Battalion 1 arrived and assigned as Charlie Division supervisor, and Truck 14 make entry on the Delta side to check for extension. Crews got a control of the fire and started overhaul with the fire put out just after midnight. One dog was rescued and no injuries reported, the fire is under investigation.
