Arvada Structure Fire

On August 6th, 2019 at 21:21 Arvada Fire Protection District was dispatched to a structure fire in the 5300 block of W. 86th Ave. JeffCom reports of an electrical fire, and that an occupant may be trapped in the basement. Arvada PD arrived on scene and confirmed everyone had safely evacuated the home. Engine 55 arrived to a single story ranch residential structure, light smoke showing from the front door and pulled an 1 3/4 attack line with search in the offensive strategy. Battalion 51 arrived and assumed command, and assigned Truck 54 to check the attic space, which showed clear. Engine 53 arrived and secured the utilities. The source of the smoke was found to be a sparking outlet. No injuries were reported.
