Arvada Structure Fire

At approximately 21:24 on May 18th, 2019 Arvada Fire Protection District was dispatched by Jeffcom to an odor / heat investigation in the area of W. 82nd Ave. and Yarrow St. Engine 55 arrived first on scene and found smoke at a residence, and upgraded to a full structure fire response. Engine 55 pulled an 1 3/4 for attack and established their own water supply. Battalion 51 arrived on scene and assumed command. Truck 54 arrived on scene, secured the utilities and pulled a 2nd line off Engine 55, and assisted with searching the residence for the source of the smoke. Smoldering material was found in the attic and was quickly extinguished. The fire was declared under control at 21:47.
