Aurora Engine 6 Accident

Four Aurora Fire Rescue firefighters escaped serious inquiry on October 27th, 2019 after their engine collided with a passenger car while responding to an emergency call.  At approximately 14:50 Engine 6 was involved in a traffic accident on Quincy Ave. at South Atchison Way while responding to a medical emergency.  All four firefighters and the driver of the passenger car were transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.  The firefighters did not have life threatening injuries and Aurora Police cited the driver of the passenger car for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. Engine 10 was dispatched to handle the original medical call.
