Aurora Structure Fire
At 13:32 on August 14th, 2019 Aurora 911 Emergency Communications dispatched Aurora Fire Rescue to a structure fire at 10288 E. 6th Ave. Ladder 2 arrived to a 2-story multi-family residential with nothing showing, and went interior and found heavy smoke conditions. Engine 2 pulled a 1 3/4 line in to the fire unit, and Ladder 2 started a primary search. Engine 5 established a water supply, and Battalion 1 arrived and assume command. Ladder 8 assigned utilities and Engine 5 reassigned as RIT, and crews made entry into unit. Battalion 3 arrived as safety, and reported the resident was needing medical for burns, and Medic 114 arrived and started patient care, and command requested additional medic to the scene. Crews found a fire in the kitchen area, and got control of the fire and out at 13:48. Two patients were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
