Aurora Shed Fire

At 18:23 on April 21st, 2019 Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure in the 16500 block of Stanford Place. Aurora 911 Emergency Communications advised units that Aurora Police Department were on scene with a confirmed working shed fire in the backyard of the residence. Battalion 3 arrived on scene to a fully involved large shed in a backyard with a fence and tree’s involved. Engine 10 arrived and assigned with fire attack behind the Lowe’s at Quincy Rd. & Buckley Rd. with a 1 ¾ line, and Engine 6 pulled a 1 ¾ line in for fire attack in the defensive mode. Engine 7 secured a water supply to Engine 6, and crews extinguished the fire quickly and put under control at 18:36. The shed is a total loss and the cause is under investigation.
