Annual Firefighter Chili Cook-Off

An annual MDA Firefighter Chili Cook-Off was held on June 28th, 2019 in Downtown Colorado Springs. Fire departments in El Paso County and throughout southern Colorado came together to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. At the event a variety of venues including the US Olympic Committee, Red Bull with a motor bike jump competition, local news organizations, a large number of automotive companies, and several food trucks along with a number of fire departments competing for the best red and green chili. Agencies that participated included Colorado Springs Fire Department, Colorado Springs Professional Firefighters Local 5, Pikes Peak Professional Firefighters Local 4502, Fountain Fire Protection District, Security Fire Department, Wescott Fire Protection District, Fort Carson Fire & Emergency Services, Cheyenne Mountain Fire & Emergency Services, El Paso County Wildland Fire Management, American Medical Response & Colorado Springs Police Department.
