Semi Accident & Fire

Around 15:30 on August 28th, 2019 Denver Fire Department responded to a semi accident and fire at I-70 at Pecos St. Crews arrived to a semi that hit the guardrail with the cab fully involved, crews got the fire extinguished quickly and started an extended overhaul. The driver was injured and transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. I-70 was closed to one lane and the scene is under investigation. No other vehicles were involved & no other injuries were reported.
