Denver House Fire

At 11:20 on December 4th, 2019 Denver Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 200 block of N. Locust St. in Hilltop. Engine 19 arrived to heavy smoke showing, and Chief 4 assumed command. Engine 15 secured the water supply to Engine 19, and Engine 18 secured the plug at E. 1st Ave. & N. Locust St. Truck 19 primary search with Rescue 2, Truck 26 assigned to the roof with vertical ventilation, and Tower 15 as RIT. Crews found heavy fire in the bedroom area and fire was quickly extinguished. American Red Cross was requested for one displaced occupant. One firefighter was transported to a local hospital for precaution check, was determined to be in stable condition and was released.
