Denver Meade Street Fire

At 13:56 on March 14th, 2019 Denver Fire Department was dispatched to a single family structure fire in the 4800 block of N. Mead St. Engine 17 arrived and laid in from W. 49th Ave. & Meade St. with heavy fire on the outside of single story residential with a well involved RV trailer on fire in the driveway. Engine 12 arrived and established a water supply, pulled a back-up attack line in, with fire that extended into the home. Crews rescued one burned victim, and Denver Paramedics Ambulance 26 transported the patient to a local hospital. Engine 9 established a water supply at W. 49th & Lowell Blvd. and pulled an attack line from the alley to the back of the structure. Ops 2 arrived and assumed command, and assigned Tower 1 to check the roof. Crews checked the attic space with no active fire or extension. Command requested Arson to the scene, and the fire was put under control and out at 14:22. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
