Denver Basement Fire

At 12:20 on October 11th, 2019 Denver Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 2900 block of S. Decatur St. Engine 36 arrived on scene to a single-family with light smoke showing from the basement. Truck 28 vented the roof, and Truck 23 arrived and started a primary search which was negative. Crews got the fire in the basement quickly knocked with no extension.  Denver Public Works Crews who saw the fire and jumped in to assist., and the puppy was safely rescued. No injures were report and cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by Denver Fire Department
