Englewood Commercial Fire

At 03:56 on October 31st, 2019 Denver Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire in the 2900 block of S. Galapago St. in Englewood. Engine 37 arrived to a fully involved structure and started fire attack in the defensive strategy, and reported a partial collapse. Engine 36 laided in to Truck 16 from W. Dartmouth Ave. & S. Galapago St. and Engine 16 secured the water supply at W. Bates Ave. & S. Fox St. Chief 3 arrived and took command, and Chief 7 advised that fully involvement on the Charlie side of the building. Englewood Police officers started evacuations of the the homes next to the fire building. Crews worked heavy fire conditions until around 04:30 when fire was called under control and crews started the extensive overhaul. Additional information provided by Denver Fire Department
