Grand Junction Attic Fire

At 18:47 on July 26th, 2019 Grand Junction Fire Department was dispatched by Grand Junction Regional Communication Center to a working fire at 2112 N. 1st St. First due reported a multi-story single-family structure with smoke showing from the attic. The fire was held to the attic space and was determined to be caused by a lightning strike. This was Grand Junction Fire Department’s 3rd Structure Assignment within an hour due to lightning.

Units on Scene: Battalion 1, Medic 1, Truck 1, Ambulance 1, Ambulance 2, Ambulance 3, Engine 4 & Engine 5

Clifton Fire Protection District: Engine 21 (Cancelled)
