At 01:03 on March 12th, 2019 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority was dispatched out from Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) to a commercial fire at the Firehouse Storage 2600 S. Lincoln Ave. Engine 1 arrived to a large single story storage unit complex with smoke and flames showing, pulled the yellow line in for fire attack in defensive operations. Battalion 1 arrived and assumed command, crews worked heavy fire with fire extension, and command upgraded the fire to a 2nd alarm at 01:21. Berthoud Engine 1 assisted Engine 1 with fire attack and Paramedic 331 set-up as rehab. The main body of fire was put under control at 01:50 and crews started to worked an extensive overhaul with hot spots for several hours. The fire building contained 54 units and 20 units were destroyed by the fire. No injures were reported and the fire is under investigation. Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue, Poudre Fire Authority, Loveland Canyon Battalion & off duty LFRA personnel staffed the district to maintain coverage for additional calls for service while crews worked to control the fire.
