Westminster Restaurant Fire

On August 31st, 2019 at approximately 21:30 Westminster Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 7311 Sheridan Blvd. inside the Jack in the Box restaurant. Westminster Communications Center advised that RP reported a restaurant full of heavy smoke. Engine 1 arrived on scene and reported a single story restaurant full of smoke with smoke exiting from the roof of the building. Engine 1 established their own water supply and pulled an 1 3/4 line for fire attack operations in the offensive strategy. Battalion 1 arrived on scene and assumed command. Engine 1 reported the fire was contained to a single fryer and called it under control at 21:55. Fire crews then began to ventilate the building.
