At 20:40 on November 16th, 2020 South Metro Fire Rescue and Aurora Fire Rescue responded to an apartment fire in the 1000 block S. Parker Rd. in Arapahoe County at the Greentree Village Apartments. A vigilant neighbor heard smoke alarms sounding from a nearby apartment, saw smoke coming from the top of the door and dialed 911. First arriving Firefighters from Station 21 advanced a hose line through the complex and entered the burning apartment. The fire was quickly controlled, the apartment was thoroughly searched for possible victims and crews determined that no one was home. Firefighters prevented damage to the adjoining apartments and thankfully no one was injured. The SMFR Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
