Two Occupants Rescued

At 07:47 on September 21st, 2020 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a possible structure fire in the 6900 block of W. 87th Way at Chase Dr. in Lake Arbor. Engine 55 arrived to a medium size two-story single-family with a working fire and 2 occupants in the window and started rescue mode. Battalion 51 enroute requested 2 more engines to the scene. Firefighters rescued two people form the upstairs window, and then Engine 55 pulled 1 3/4 line in for fire attack. Truck 54 arrived and secured the water supply to Engine 55. Battalion 51 arrived and assumed command, and assigned Engine 53 to ventilation. Crews got the fire under control quickly, and the additional engines were cancelled. Crews also rescued two dogs, and the fire was reported to impacted one unit. The cause of the fire is under investigation with no reported injuries.
