Aurora Townhouse Fire

On December 30th, 2020 at approximately 11:45 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the 2700 block of S. Kenton Ct. Engine 10 arrived on scene and observed smoke coming from the alpha side of the two-story townhome. Crews quickly extinguished a fire in a second story bathroom and were on scene for over an hour conducting overhaul. Firefighters rescued two of three parakeets in the home. The third flew to refuge in the top of a nearby evergreen tree. No injuries were reported.
