Recycling Center Fire

At 0740 on December 21st, 2020 Boulder Fire-Rescue Department responded to commercial structure fire at 1901 63rd Street, the Boulder County Recycling Center. Boulder Police & Fire Communications advised that the reporting party reported that cardboard and paper were on fire, and the building’s sprinkler system was activated. Truck 2507 arrived to a large commercial building with smoke showing, and started the investigation on the Alpha side. Engine 2503 secured the water supply, and 2566 arrived and upgraded the incident to a working fire. Crews got the fire quickly contained with cardboard on the conveyor belt on fire. There were no injuries reported & the cause is undetermined.
