Semi & Shed Fire

At 15:57 on April 10th, 2020 South Adams County Fire Department Engine 22 was alerted to a vehicle fire at 5570 E. 56th Ave at the Green City Waste in Commerce City. Adcom advised multiple 911 callers reporting that fully involved semi which is close to a shed and utility wires. Engine 22 arrived to a semi on fire and started fire attack on tank water, and requested two additional engines. With fire extending to the nearby shed, the response was upgraded to a working structure fire. Squad 22 arrived and established the water supply to Engine 22. Engine 13 and Engine 26 arrived and assisted Engine 22 with fire attack. Battalion 21 arrived and assumed command in the offensive attack, and Truck 24 arrived and assigned to the Charlie side of the building. Crews got control of the fire and out at 16:41, and firefighters started an extensive overhaul. No injuries were reported, the semi and the shed is a complete loss.
