Denver Structure Fire

At 05:37 on February 24th, 2020 Denver Fire Department was alerted to a commercial structure fire at Rest La Chupaflor, 11 E. Louisiana Ave. in Platt Park. Engine 16 & Truck 16 arrived with smoke showing from all the eves and the roof of a one-story commercial structure. Engine 16 pulled an attack line in with Truck 16 for fire attack and crews got water on the fire quickly. Rescue 1 went to the roof and vented with Tower 1 and Tower 23. Engine 11 to the alley and pulled a 2nd attack line in. Engine 21 arrived and went to the plug on Broadway & Louisiana Ave. and Chief 6 arrived and took command. Crews worked aggressively on the fire and got a quick knock and started an extensive overhaul on hot spots. The cause is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
