2nd Alarm Commercial Fire

On May 27th, 2020 at 05:25 Denver Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire in the 300 block of E. 17th St. in North Capital Hill. Engine 3 arrived to a strip mall building with smoke showing and started fire attack. Firefighters traced the fire in the attic space and with fire in the walls, a 2nd alarm was requested. The fire was put under control around 06:30 and crews started an extensive overhaul with significant damage from the smoke. No one was inside the building at the time of the fire and no reported injuries. The cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by Denver Fire Department
