Denver House Fire

At 18:11 on January 9th, 2020 Denver Fire Department was alerted to a structure fire at 440 N. Cherokee St. in Baker. Rescue 1 arrived to heavy fire and smoke showing from the Alpha side from a two-story single-family residential structure. Engine 11 arrived and laid in and started fire attack with Rescue 1. Ops 2 arrived and took command. Rescue 1 reported high heat inside and called for ventilation, and Tower 23 vented the roof. Crews pulled a 2nd line to the Charlie side, and the fire was put under control quickly and all searched proved negative. The fire cause is under investigation.
