Denver Second Alarm

At 13:43 on July 12th, 2020 Denver Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 840 block of S. Raritan St. in Athmar Park. Engine 23 arrived and laid in with fire and smoke showing from a one-story single-family dwelling. Tower 23 arrived and started primary search and a 2nd alarm was requested within minutes after crews discovered a 2nd house on fire. Engine 16 arrived and attacked the fire on the 2nd house with Rescue 1 with the search. Truck 16 went to the roof, and Tower 1 as RIT. One firefighter was transported with unknown injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation. No other information is available at this time.
