Denver Structure Fire

At 00:43 on August 31st, 2020 Denver Fire Department responded to a reported single-family structure fire at 3219 W. 1st Ave. in Barnum. Engine 20 arrived to a two-story side by side duplex with fire showing from the Charlie-Delta corner, and pulled a line in for fire attack. Chief 6 arrived and assumed command, and assigned Tower 23 primary search with Rescue 1. Crews found fire on the outside balcony and got the fire knocked quickly with no extension and started overhaul. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
