At 02:40 on August 5th, 2020 Denver Fire Department responded to a reported single-family structure fire in the 5300 block of N. Truckee St. in Green Valley Ranch. Crews arrived to heavy fire showing from a two-story single-family residential structure. Crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading into the two adjacent homes, which had significant damage from the heat. 5 fatalities were found in the home and 3 parties escaped by jumping out of the 2nd story, all 3 suffered serious injuries. The cause is under investigation by Denver investigators and the Bureau of Alcohol (ATF), and is believed to be arson.  A $14,000 reward was offered to anyone that can provide info from the fire that would lead to a arrest.
