West Metro Attic Fire

At 17:15 on September 1st, 2020 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 500 block of S. Field St. in Lakewood. JeffCom advising 911 caller reporting smoke and flames are visible. Engine 3 arrived to a small single-story residential structure with a working attic, smoke showing from the Charlie and Delta sides, pulled a 1 3/4 attack line to the front door. Medic 3 started primary search, and District 2 arrived and took command in the offensive strategy. Engine 8 arrived and set-up the water supply to Engine 3, Tower 8 assigned for a roof ops, Engine 4 as RIT, and Medic 7 as medical. Firefighters got the fire under control at 17:32 and started an extensive overhaul. The fire is under investigation and no reported injuries were reported.
