West Metro Garage Fire

At 03:16 on August 8th, 2020 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 6400 block of W. Cedar Pl. in Lakewood. JeffCom advised of multiple callers reporting of the fire. Engine 7 arrived to a single-family single-story residence with a fully involved garage and pulled an attack line for fire control. Engine 3 secured the water supply at W. Bayaud Ave. & S. Lamar St. to Engine 7. District 2 arrived and took command in the offensive strategy with Engine 8 and Engine 3 starting primary search. Crews got the fire out and started overhaul with an all clear with the primary search at 03:35. The fire cause is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
