Longmont Sugar Mill Fire

At 18:00 on December 9th, 2020 Longmont Fire Department and Mountain View Fire Rescue was alerted to a structure fire at 11801 Sugar Mill Rd at the grounds of the Longmont Sugar Mill. Crews arrived to a working fire with flames showing in an abandoned building on the southeast side. Firefighters had to make force entry in cutting through the fence that surrounded the property. Crews encountered a large volume of fire. Their has been several fires at this location including September of 2016 and December 25th, 2017. The cause is still under investigation.
