North Metro Townhome Fire

At 11:52 on April 22nd, 2020 North Metro Fire Rescue District responded to a structure fire in the 11000 block of Logan St. in Northglenn. Engine 63 arrived to a two-story townhome with active fire showing from the second floor window and pulled a 1 3/4 line for fire attack and started primary search on the second floor he resident evacuated safely, and crews were able to rescue several cats safely from the home. with Medic 63. Battalion 61 arrived and took over command, and assigned Engine 73 to pull a 2nd line in and start primary search on the first floor. Truck 62 arrived and assisted with the water supply to Engine 63. Truck 74 with Medic 74 checked the roof, and crews contained the fire to the upstairs bedroom. The cause was accidental related to some frayed wiring on an appliance. The resident evacuated safely, and crews were able to rescue several cats safely from the home and Northglenn animal control officers were requested to the scene to assist.
