Colorado Springs High Angle Rescue

At approximately 20:10 on June 29th, 2020 Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to Palmer Park for a high angle rescue. When units arrived they discovered an abandoned vehicle off of the side of the roadway, and crews then began a search for the driver. Engine 7 was able to find the patient unconscious on the rock cliffs over 100 yards away, after falling 20 feet. While Engine 7 remained with the patient, Truck 10 and Rescue 17 began to hike in from above and below the patient. Once the patient was extricated, they were transported to an area hospital. Crews then left the scenes to the Colorado Springs Police Department for further investigation.
