Mountain View Structure Fire

On April 25th, 2024 at 16:07 Boulder County Communications (1800) dispatched Mountain View Fire Rescue, Lafayette Fire Department and Louisville Fire Protection District to a possible structure fire in the 1160 block of Homestead Rd. in Erie. Crews arrived to a two-story home with flames showing from the Alpha side and started fire attack. Erie Police officers were able to determine that no one was home when the fire started. The home was struck by lightning which started the fire. Firefighters were able to quickly to get the fire under control after getting inside the home and into room next to where the lightening hit.
