Commercial Fire & HazMat

At 12:59 on June 3rd, 2020 Fort Collins 911 (FC911) alerted Poudre Fire Authority Engine 6 and Bureau 1 to a fire alarm at a commercial building on the 300 block of Link Ln. Engine 6 arrived to a large one-story commercial complex with nothing showing and started the investigation. Crews quickly upgraded to a working fire with smoke showing with a ethanol fire from a distillery, and requested a haz-mat response. Engine 6 pulled a 1 3/4 line for fire attack and Engine 1 supplied water to Engine 6. Tower 1 arrived and assigned to evacuate the Bravo & Delta exposures, and Engine 12 secured the utilities. Engine 2 arrived and secured the water supply. Crews got the fire under control by attacking with an abundance of water and foam, and contained to the room of origin. No injuries and investigators were called to the scene. Additional information was provided by Poudre Fire Authority.
