Weld County I-25 MVA
At 15:07 on May 1st, 2020 Loveland Emergency Communications Center (LECC) dispatched Berthoud Fire Protection District Engine 61 and Thompson Valley EMS Paramedic 351 to an MVA with injuries on northbound I-25 at mile marker 249. At 15:11 the call was upgraded to an MVA with extrication and Berthoud Battalion 61, Engine 62, Squad 61, and Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Engine 46 were added to the ticket. Battalion 61 arrived on scene and reported a 4-vehicle accident with one of the vehicles with heavy damage at the rear of the semi-truck. Engine 61 arrived, was assigned rescue group supervisor, and reported that there was one party trapped and was going to do a dash lift to free the party. Engine 62 arrived and were assigned to rescue group to assist with extrication and Engine 46 arrived and were also assigned to rescue group and were assigned protection line, fluids, and hazards. TVEMS Supervisor 329 arrived and was assigned medical group supervisor with TVEMS Paramedic 351. The party was disentangled from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital.
