Lakewood Commercial Fire

At 13:00 on November 5th, 2020 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire in the 800 block of Kipling St. in Lakewood. Jeffcom advised that multiple 911 callers reporting smoke showing from the structure. Engine 3 arrived to a closed gas station with heavy smoke showing and a working fire, pulled a 1 3/4 line in with Medic 3 for fire attack. Engine 2 established the water supply, and Medic 2 assigned as primary search. Command requested a additional medic to the scene for medical group. District 2 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy. Crews got the fire under control quickly and started overhaul. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
