Arvada Duplex Fire

At 11:24 on August 30th, 2020 Arvada Fire Protection District with West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 4700 block of Holland St. in Wheat Ridge. Engine 16 arrived to a single-story duplex with a working fire from the Alpha side, secured their own water supply and pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fast attack life safety priority with Medic 52. Rescue 52 pulled a 2nd line to the Charlie side with heavy fire showing, and Battalion 52 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy. Crews got the fire under control at 23:47, and started overhaul. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
