White Fence Farm Fire

At 13:49 on September 2nd, 2020 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 500 block of S. Field St. in Lakewood. JeffCom advised of multiple calls, and possible trapped children inside. Units enroute reported smoke showing in the air. Engine 8 arrived to a fully involved outbuilding, secured their own water supply and pulled a 2 1/2 attack line with Tower 8 as search. District 2 arrived to a large abandoned restaurant, with heavy fire showing and assumed command in the offensive strategy. Medic 7 pulled 1 3/4 off Engine 8 for fire attack with Engine 3. Firefighters worked heavy fire which spread to the attic and other buildings on the property. The primary and secondary searches were declared with an all-clear of all the structures. The fire damage three buildings at the closed restaurant, the main building was not involved or damage in the fire. Crews worked an extended time with hot spots and overhaul. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
