Large Wildland Interface Fire

On September 12th, 2021 around 15:30 the East I-70 Corridor automatic-aid agencies were alerted to a large wildland interface fire in the 5200 block of Yulle Rd. Brush Engine 91 arrived to a large weed fire approximately 5 acres moving into heavy timber on both sides of Yulle Rd. and stared fast attack with Brush 91. Brush 92 arrived and started fire attack on the east side the road. Chief 91 arrived and assumed command, and assigned Tender 91 and Tender 81 to set-up with the water supply. Brush Engine 91 worked heavy fire in heavy timber with high heat. Crews got the fire under control around 16:00 and started an extended overhaul on hot spots. The fire burned around 20 acres.
