South Metro Townhome Fire

On April 9th, 2021 at approximately 20:45 South Metro Fire Rescue and Aurora Fire Rescue were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in a multi-family dwelling in the 9400 block of E. Iliff Ave. Engine 21 arrived on scene and observed a working fire coming from the window of a ground floor unit. Firefighters knocked the blaze quickly and were on scene about an hour looking for extension and mopping up hot spots. One occupant in the residence was rescued and transported by ambulance to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
