On December 2nd, 2021 at approximately 14:15 Aurora 911 Emergency Communications dispatched Aurora Fire Rescue to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 12766 E. Harvard Circle. Firefighters arrived on scene and found that a passenger car had run off the road, knocked over a fire hydrant, hit a gas meter, crossed through a courtyard and struck the corner of a residence. Additional units including the hazardous materials team were dispatched to the scene. Xcel’s emergency gas response team assisted firefighters with neutralizing the damaged gas meter. One person was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
