Aurora Vegetation Fire

On March 2nd, 2021 at approximately 13:40 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported vegetation fire in the 19500 block of Van Buren Way. Units arrived on scene and found a small grass fire along the creek bed behind the Friendly Village Mobile Home Park.  Crews were able to access the area using an open space trail on the far side of the creek and quickly extinguish the fire. Firefighters were on scene for about an hour mopping up hot spots. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
