Aurora Ice Rescue Investigation

On February 21st, 2021 at 14:28 Aurora Fire Rescue responded for water rescue at the Aurora Reservoir, 5800 S. Powhaton Rd. with a person possibly stuck on the ice. The South Metro Dive Team was also requested. Park Rangers on scene advised dispatch that they were informed that there was nobody in the water, but only a person in need of medical attention. Crews arrived and started the investigation, and confirmed there was no water rescue.

Aurora: Battalion Chief 4, Battalion Chief 3, Engine 13, Ladder 13, Brush 13, Engine 10, Ladder 5 & Heavy Rescue 5

South Metro Fire Rescue: Battalion Chief 5 & Dive 31 (Cancelled)

Falck: Medic 106

Aurora Open Space & Natural Resources (Park Ranger): Ranger 8
