Aurora Apartment Fire

On April 21st, 2021 at approximately 04:50 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in a multi-family dwelling at 16446 E. 17th Place. Firefighters arrived at the apartment complex and found fire on the roof of a building. Crews were on scene about two hours, extinguishing the blaze, checking for extension, ventilating the building and mopping up hot spots.  Approximately 20 residents were displaced due to the fire and the American Red Cross was called to assist them. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
