Broomfield Niwot Trail Garage Fire

At 20:43 on April 3rd, 2021 North Metro Fire Rescue District responded to a structure fire at the 13000 block of Niwot Trail in Broomfield. Engine 64 arrived to a small two-story residents with smoke showing from the garage door, and pulled a line in for primary search and fire control with Medic 64. Battalion 61 arrived and assumed command. Both occupants of the home were able to evacuate safely on their own. Firefighters contained the fire to the garage and prevented any major damage to the interior of the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
