South Metro Garage Fire

On March 20th, 2021 at approximately 20:15 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential fire in the 64oo block of S. Florence Way. Engine 31 arrived on scene within minutes and found a car on fire in the residence’s attached garage. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to the structure. Firefighters remained on scene about thirty minutes clearing smoke from the residence. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
